Eligibility and requirements
Money Maximum: $25,000 with a term over five years Maximum: 5-year term Loan management fee: A one time fee of 1% of the total loan amount is charged at time of disbursement Interest rate Interest is charged at CIBC's prime rate + 3% Interests-only payments for the first year Principal repayments are made in equal monthly instalments together with interest, over the remaining four years No penalty for early repayment Note : The above points reflect current Futurpreneur loan terms; the exact terms of each entrepreneur's loan are clearly defined in their loan agreement You Are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada and you physically reside in Canada Are you between the ages of 18-39 at the time of your application Have a source of full-time income outside of your side business Agree to work with a mentor for up to two years Generate enough disposable income to service the loan repayment Do not intend to convert the side business to a full-time operation within the next 12 months
How it works
Sign up and register for Futurpreneur’s Core Startup Program. Share your business details to get matched with the right program. Submit your draft plan and cash flow—or get help creating them Futurpreneur reviews your credit and plan for eligibility. Provide final documents: plan, cash flow, registration, and ID. Submit your complete business plan and cash flow. If approved, you’ll get financing and be matched with a mentor. Meet your mentor and complete orientation. Once conditions are met, receive your financing. Your mentor supports you through launch and networking events. Access resources to launch and grow your business.
