How it works

Read the program guidelines. Follow the steps to apply for one or more of the challenges. If you qualify, you’ll get a receipt of communication saying your innovation has passed the evaluation and is eligible to be tested through the program. ISC will assign a program advisor to start looking for a federal government partner to test your innovation. Work with your advisor to develop a statement of work, including timelines and deliverables. Negotiate a contract, including a justification of all the costs, with a dedicated contract officer (Note: they’ll ask you for documents like certification of Canadian ownership, costs-per-unit or hourly rates, and evidence to prove fair market value). Get paid by submitting invoices.
