Production program — Indigenous stream

Overview

Get a contribution or equity investment to cover up to 30% of the production costs of a fictional, feature-length film. You could get an additional $100,000 if your project has a budget of less than $2.5 million and is being shot in a remote location or includes training/mentoring of Indigenous production talent.

How it works

In addition to the main Applicant and Project Eligibility, the following eligibility criteria applies to Indigenous stream applications: At least 51% of the project’s copyright is held by a production company majority-owned and controlled by Indigenous persons. The project is under the financial and creative control of Indigenous persons. Two of the three key members of the creative team (producer, director or screenwriter) are Indigenous.
