Eligibility and requirements

Money Maximum: $99,999 Non-repayable Funding limits This program will cover up to 30% of the total project costs Eligibility Must be an Alberta resident with a business located in Alberta Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in the chosen industry Projects must be a start-up or expansion (not passive investments) The business must generate at least $20,000 annually Project costs must include at least $20,000 in depreciable capital assets Applicants must secure financing through a commercial lender for costs not covered by the grant

How it works

The total project budget is determined. You contribute 10% cash equity. SEAP grant covers up to 30% - 40% (max $99,999). An AIIC loan typically covers the remaining 60%. (Grant is not stand-alone; loan + equity required.)
