If you are a civilian employer of reservists or a self-employed reservist, get financial assistance to offset operational costs you incur when reservists deploy on full-time operational duty, both domestically and abroad.

Eligibility and requirements

Money Non-repayable Funding covers 40% of the Yearly Maximum Pensionable Earnings divided by 52 weeks, multiplied by the number of weeks the reservist is deployed You Employ a reservist who is a member of the Primary Reserve or Canadian Rangers deployed for a minimum of 30 days on a Chief of Defence Staff directed operation and worked for you for a minimum of 30 hours/week for 3 consecutive months prior to the leave Are a self-employed reservist deployed for a minimum of 30 days on a Chief of Defence Staff directed operation

How it works

Visit the program website to make sure you’re eligible. Complete a Grant Application Package. Submit the package with supporting documentation by e-mail or by mail no later than 12 months following the date of the reservist's return from active military duty. You will receive an email receipt within 24 hours of submitting your application. You will be notified of the status of your application within 35 days.
