Get a grant to cover early-stage feasibility studies in Phase 1 to integrated prototype systems in Phase 2, with the ultimate objective of enabling quantum repeater nodes that support long-distance quantum networks capable of surpassing the fundamental limits of direct quantum transmission through a chosen channel.

Eligibility and requirements
Money Phase 1: Maximum: $250,000 - project duration up to 6 months Phase 2: Maximum: $3 million - project duration up to 24 months Note: Selected companies are eligible to receive one grant per phase per challenge Eligibility To receive funding, you must meet the following criteria: Are a for-profit, incorporated business owner Have fewer than 499 full-time employees (FTE) Do research and development activities in Canada 50% or more of your annual wages, salaries and fees are currently paid to employees and contractors who spend the majority of their time working in Canada 50% or more of your FTE employees have Canada as their ordinary place of work 50% or more of your senior executives (vice president and above) have Canada as their principal residence
How it works
