Eligibility and requirements
Money • Project administration fee: 4% of the total eligible reconciled project cost Funding limits • This program will cover a maximum of 45% of eligible costs You Are a consortium of at least two Protein Industry Canada members Have at least one partner that is a Small or Medium Enterprise Have at least two members contributing financially Have at least two partner Canadian companies or multi-national corporations Your project Aligns with the objectives of Protein Industries Canada and the Global Innovation Cluster Initiative Will have positive and lasting economic impact on the agriculture, food and feed sectors Would not be possible without the participation of consortia partners Use this to Work on projects including: Genetics: Germplasm development with an aim to improve processing efficiency, quality, sensory characteristics and the development of novel ingredients Crops: Technologies to measure and improve on-farm sustainability and information flow along the value chain Ingredients: The development, scaling and optimization of plant-based ingredients Products: The conversion of Canadian-made ingredients and co-products into consumption-ready goods
How it works
Read the program guide. Call a program representative to talk about your project and get help writing your Expression of Interest. Complete the Expression of Interest application with your consortia. If successful, you’ll receive an email invitation to work on your project proposal with staff members of the supercluster and the rest of your consortia. Submit your final project proposal via a members portal. Your project will be assessed and you’ll receive a response within 10 days. Complete the project and receive funding as per the terms set out in your agreement.
