Overview
If you’re a producer or food processor who is in need of extra labour, get a subsidy to cover at least 50% of wages to a maximum of $14,000/employee, as well as $5,000/employee for relocation costs, when you hire youth to work on agricultural projects.

Eligibility and requirements
Money Maximum: 50% of wages up to $14,000 and 100% of relocation costs, up to $5,000 You Are an agricultural-related organization, like a farmer, food processor or other non-governmental organization that can offer work opportunities to Canadian youth
How it works
Read the applicant guide to make sure you and your workers meet the eligibility criteria. ( Note: If you hired an eligible youth facing barriers in the workplace, you could receive additional funding to cover 80% of their wages, up to an additional $5000.) Complete the project application form and submit via email ([email protected]), mail or fax, along with a Signature of Applicant Authorized Representative and a copy of the organization's Certificates or Articles of Incorporation. If successful, you’ll be asked to enter a Contribution Agreement. When the project is complete, you will be asked to submit a final report. If your project was less than 8 months, you will receive 100% of the funds at the end of the internship. If your project was 8 to 12 months, then you’ll receive 50% of funds after the first half of the internship and the last 50% at the end. You’ll receive money within 30 days of submitting a final report and completed financial claim form, as outlined in the terms of your agreement.
